About the programme
A different kind of training experience
The Grovest CA Training Programme offers a structured three-year SAICA training contract combined with meaningful exposure to how an investment organisation operates.
During your training contract you will rotate through key areas of the business. Each rotation is designed to deepen your understanding of finance, investment and commercial decision-making.
Trainees are encouraged to take ownership of their development. You will have the opportunity to shape parts of your rotation journey based on your interests and career goals, while still meeting the competency requirements of the SAICA competency framework.
Throughout the programme you will interact with experienced professionals across the organisation who are invested in your development and growth.
Ongoing Support
Becoming a Chartered Accountant is demanding, and support matters
Our trainees are supported by a dedicated training team led by the Training Officer, as well as reviewers and mentors across the organisation.

Eligibility
Who can apply?
To apply for the 2027 Grovest CA Training Programme intake, applicants must:
- Have completed a SAICA-accredited undergraduate accounting degree
- Be enrolled in a SAICA-accredited postgraduate accounting programme (CTA or equivalent) during the 2026 academic year, with the expectation of completing it by the end of the year

Job description
What you're stepping into
We are offering an opportunity for graduates to join our SAICA Training Programme and begin their journey toward qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
The programme provides structured practical experience, mentorship and exposure to key areas of finance and business over the course of a three-year training contract.
Throughout the programme trainees develop professional judgement, technical competence and the confidence needed to operate in complex business environments.
Rotations
Trainees complete rotations across different areas of the Grovest business during their training contract. These rotations provide exposure to multiple functions and allow trainees to understand how the different parts of the organisation contribute to investment decisions and financial performance.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Completed a SAICA-accredited undergraduate accounting degree
- Currently in the final year of completing a SAICA-accredited postgraduate accounting degree (CTA or equivalent)
- Strong analytical thinking
- Good judgement and attention to detail
- Curiosity about how businesses operate
- A proactive approach to learning and development
